Sarah Galvin, a nurse anesthesia student from Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing, recently took a mission trip to Honduras. Galvin traveled with a group of health care providers from across the country that represented Surgical Outreach for Americas (SOFA).

Over the course of two hours nursing students participated in a large-scale poverty simulation to learn about the challenges low-income families face in an effort to survive. The simulation was hosted by Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing.

For many nurses the Nightingale Pledge represents commitment to tough rigor and compassionate care. On January 25, Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing hosted our first nursing pledge white coat ceremony, welcoming new students into the medical field.

The Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing is now ranked as one of the best nursing schools in the United States by the Nursing Schools Almanac. Goldfarb is listed 51 out of 100 nursing schools in the country.

As a consortial program with The Graduate School at Washington University in St. Louis, Goldfarb students pursuing a PhD in nursing have the chance to experience an interdisciplinary learning environment unlike any other program in the St. Louis area.

Goldfarb's Post-masters Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program launches in fall 2018.
