ST. LOUIS, MO - Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing is excited to announce the first recipients of the newly established BJC Bright Futures Scholarship.
“We had an overwhelming response with many well-deserving applicants,” said Stacy Bogier, director of enrollment management at Goldfarb. “These students are dedicated to their education and the field of nursing. We are honored to award these individuals with scholarships for all their hard work and dedication.”
The first recipients of the BJC Bright Futures Scholarship are:

The BJC Bright Futures Scholarship offers up to $20,000, to be applied to the awardee’s tuition and academic fees, to current undergraduate students admitted to Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing who commit to employment at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
The scholarship offers increments of up to $5,000 per-term. For each $5,000 increment, one year of service providing direct patient care is required following the awardee’s graduation from Goldfarb. In addition to the scholarship funds, a nurse mentor provides students with guidance and support.
To receive the scholarship, students must also meet all eligibility requirements for hiring at BJC. Awardees will be offered work as a PRN student nurse tech after successfully completing the Fundamentals of Nursing class. PRN status is met by working one twelve-hour shift during each two week pay period.
“The scholarship is available every term,” said Beth Camp, senior learning and developmental consultant, academic partnerships at BJC. “Students can reapply the following term should they not be selected.”
The BJC Bright Futures Scholarship is currently only offered for commitment to Barnes-Jewish Hospital. For more information about the BJC Bright Futures Scholarship, or to learn more about Goldfarb’s nursing program and how to apply, contact Stacy Bogier at [email protected].
