Nancy Ridenour, PhD, RN, APRN, BC, FAAN, president and the Maxine Clark and Bob Fox dean and professor of Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing, was named the 2019 St. Louis Magazine Excellence in Nursing Award winner for administration. In addition to Dr. Ridenour, Goldfarb educators Lisa Burnitt, DNP, RN, ANP-BC, assistant professor and director of the adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner program, and Tamara Otey, PhD, RN, assistant professor, were also nominated. Nancy Ridenour, PhD, RN, APRN, BC, FAAN, president and the Maxine Clark and Bob Fox dean and professor of Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing, was named the 2019 St. Louis Magazine Excellence in Nursing Award winner for administration. Dr. Ridenour also received the “Perfect Score Award,” in recognition of obtaining a perfect score by the award’s selection committee.
Presented by Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing and Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis Magazine’s Excellence in Nursing Awards recognize nurses from institutions across the St. Louis region for their exceptional level of knowledge, passion and dedication to their fields.
When asked about the rewards of her job as an administrator Dr. Ridenour said, “It’s just so cool to see a student graduate and the difference that they make. When you think about the number of lives they are going to impact in their career, it’s like multiplying your influence. It’s very gratifying.”
