Goldfarb, Barnes-Jewish collaborate on new nurse education model

September marked a “new beginning” in nurse education at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. 

The traditional model of nursing education at Barnes-Jewish has featured an instructor from Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing leading a group of eight students through a semester of clinical learning on a nursing unit. The Dedicated Education Units (DEU) will facilitate skills development for students and provide the opportunity for a team of nurses to prepare the next generation of nurses.

Goldfarb's Nurse Anesthesia Program: Accredited and Ready to Go

Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing's Nurse Anesthesia Program, in affiliation with the Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University in St. Louis, received continued International Federation of Nurse Anesthetists (IFNA) Accreditation in May 2019, valid until May 2024, allowing for the program to transition from a MSN degree program to a DNP degree program.  It’s official. Goldfarb’s BSN Program Prepares Students to be Exceptional Nurses

Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree that prepares students to care for patients and families in hospitals, in the community and a variety of other settings. Goldfarb offers two accredited program options available to students; upper division and accelerated. There is no better time than now to pursue a nursing degree. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, certain jobs within the nursing field are projected to add more than 64,000 jobs between 2016 and 2026, a 31 percent increase.
