Goldfarb Lands Ranking with Nursing Schools Almanac

The Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing is now ranked as one of the best nursing schools in the United States by the Nursing Schools Almanac. Goldfarb is listed 51 out of 100 nursing schools in the country.

Rankings are based on factors including academic prestige and perceived value, breadth and depth of nursing programs offered, and student success, particularly on the NCLEX national licensure exam.

The Nursing Schools Almanac also listed Goldfarb 22 out of 100 private nursing schools in the country and six out of 75 nursing schools in the plains.

Goldfarb Launches New Scholarship Program to Encourage Aspiring Nurses

Nine new scholarships include options for veterans, alumni relatives & dependents of BJC employees.  For those with nursing aspirations, that first day at Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes Jewish College marks a significant milestone in their lives. To ensure more aspiring nurses have the opportunity to achieve their career goals, the college recently revamped its scholarship program and is offering nine new scholarship opportunities for new students.

Goldfarb Names Dominic Reeds M.D. as Associate Dean for Research

Dr. Reeds graduated with a B.A. in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin, then completed medical school at Texas Tech University where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He went on to the University of Rochester/Strong Memorial Hospital for residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine.

Goldfarb Nursing Students Journey Begins with a Pledge

For many nurses the Nightingale Pledge represents commitment to tough rigor and compassionate care. On January 25, Barnes-Jewish College Goldfarb School of Nursing hosted our first nursing pledge white coat ceremony, welcoming new students into the medical field.

During the ceremony Dean and President of Goldfarb, Dr. Nancy Ridenour addressed students, faculty, and guests sharing the history of the Arnold P. Gold Foundation and White Coat Ceremonies.
