What account credentials do I use to sign in?
- For Microsoft-based systems (Outlook, Canvas), use your BJC ID (e.g., [email protected].
- For GSON-specific systems (GusConnect, Banner), use your BJC ID without “@bjc.org” (e.g., xyz1234).
- Ensure you’re logged out of other Microsoft accounts, such as WashU or corporate accounts, to avoid login errors. If you must use another Microsoft account at the same time, we suggest using a private or incognito browser session for GSON apps.

All GSON-related files must be saved to OneDrive. Avoid storing files on local hard drives or personal accounts.

Student FAQs
What kind of computer do I need?
Your laptop must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Microsoft Windows 11 with Intel i5 (7th Gen or better).
- 12 GB+ RAM and 500 GB+ storage.
- Wireless connectivity and built-in webcam with a microphone.
- Note: Apple Mac/iPad and Chromebooks are not fully compatible with some exam software.
Which wireless network should I use on campus?
Connect to the GSON wireless network for optimal performance.
Can I get help with my personal devices?
Yes, GSON-IT can assist with issues on personal devices. Contact us via email or visit the 3rd-floor support team (cubes 3M or 3N).
How do I print my documents?
Printing stations are available in rooms 105 and 108:
- Print to "GSONLibraryRicoh..." from your device.
- Tap your badge at the printer. First-time users must log in with their BJC ID and password.
- Select your print jobs and release them. For assistance, contact GSON-IT.
